If you’re looking for a reliable method to achieve scar reduction, you might want to consider going down the traditional, tried and true route. While the thought of removing scars on your own, using simple and inexpensive products may sound too good to be true, you should know it’s very much possible… but not as simple as it may look at first.
To begin with, you should be aware of the fact that different types of scars call for different treatments. I could list more than a dozen natural and inexpensive products which work great for fading scars, but it’s not that simple. For example, lemon juice works great in removing acne scars, but it may bring about negative results if you try using it to treat other types of facial scars.
Additionally, you need to keep in mind that dealing with scars is never as simple as rubbing in some kind of miracle potion. While the topical application of the right product is indeed the first step in a solid homemade scar treatment, there are several other things you should be doing to hasten the healing of your scars.
Most notably, you should be using the right complimentary techniques. It can be something as simple as a good massage, or something more elaborate such as applying silicone sheets. Again, it depends on the type of scars you’re trying to heal.
There are also minor adjustments to your diet that will vastly accelerate the healing process. Finally, you need to be consistent with your treatment, since it will take a few weeks (or even a few months), to achieve definite scar reduction.
On the bright side, you should know that it’s indeed possible to do away with scars, and that it may be a lot less expensive than you imagine!
